Writing your own biography is a scary thing.  You don’t want to come across as too arrogant and self-serving but, hey this is my only chance at uncensored self indulgence..so here it goes!

If you are investigating my site, it is because you either: own a dog, love a dog or want to get a dog!  Congratulations on doing your research to find out the best way to understand the relationship between you and your canine.

Some people become dog trainers because they don’t like people and prefer dogs, but training someone else’s dog to respond to them requires a trainer who can instruct both 2-legged and 4-legged students.  My experience is as diverse as my clients.  I have tackled numerous careers over my working life and landed in the dog business because, surprise! I love dogs.

I am a  graduate of the Animal Behaviour College, have taken credited courses at the University of Guelph on dog sciences and animal behaviour.  I am also a member in good standing of the Canadian Association of Professional Pet Trainers.

I believe that: Properly Trained, a Man can be Dogs’ Best Friend.

Starting off on the right paw, whether with a new puppy or an older dog you have adopted, is as easy as putting on a collar and walking out the  front door, but the second step is to know when you need guidance.

As a dog trainer, I spend a large amount of  time around dogs, watching their behaviours, reading their body language and translating their needs to fit into the human pattern.  As a therapist, I spend another portion of my time with people, examining their body language, communication skills and physical manifestations of their emotions. Putting both of these learned skills together I find a language that both owner and dog can communciate in, leading to a harmonious relationship of respect, love and mutual benefit.
