Thank you for taking an interest in the Ellis Dog Academy. Animal lovers can recognize each other in an instant, whether by the dog treats they carry in their pockets, the tins of cat food in their glove boxes or clothing covered in pet hair. What not all animal lovers can do however, is train their pets to live and function within the realm of the human family.
The Ellis Dog Academy is designed to ensure that both animal and human get the most out of the mutual relationship of man and beast. My heart breaks every time I see an unwanted pet behind the bars of a shelter. I wonder what went wrong in that relationship, that the pet lost? Dogs are man’s best friend and with a little bit of training and knowledge man can become dog’s best friend too!
Why are we different? Dog trainers are not regulated by any agency, therefore it is Buyer Beware. Jennifer is a graduate of the Animal Behaviour College in California, is certified in Dog First Aid and a member of the Canadian Professional Dog Trainer Association.
All dogs are not the same, no matter what you hear. The Ellis Dog Academy has a unique training platform based on dog breed. Working dogs, terriers, toys and hunting dogs have all been bred for different reasons. Their unique genetic make up requires a unique training program. Even designer breeds, the oodles of mixes, have their own motivation to learn based on the combination of their breeding. If other programs have failed for you…maybe its time to try a new way.
